The first time I saw a Chris Connor bike I was captivated. A career wood worker who has crafted furniture, boats and classic guitars, Connor parlayed his skills into bikes. Comprised of sustainable, hand sculpted American White Ash and Black Walnut, and reinforced with Kevlar curved in composite laminations, these bikes are works of art. But, Connor’s website promises cyclists will enjoy a fast and smooth ride.
The bikes are made to order in Denver, Co, build time is about 8 to 12 weeks and the cost is between $3,500 and $7,500. connorcycles.com
