Springtime Skin Prep

Spring is a few weeks away and while I am not sure it will be bright, sunny and warm in Chicago quite yet, I still want to prep my skin for the days when I am no longer wearing my ski jacket and winter boots. Here are a few of my favorite face and body products for fresh, soft, glowing skin.

Clarisonic Mia – My go-to tool for a deep cleanse and smoother facial skin.

Juice Beauty ® Green Apple Peel – This facial peel exfoliates, brightens and firms the skin.

Egyptian Magic – This all-natural moisturizing balm combats very dry skin. It’s made with only six ingredients (honey, beeswax, olive oil, royal jelly, bee pollen and bee propolis) and is free of additives, preservatives, fragrances, chemicals and parabens. A 4-ounce jar costs around $40 at Whole Foods, but it lasts forever.

Vita Liberata Tan Mousse – This is hands-down the best self-tanning product I have ever purchased. Unlike other similar products, Vita Liberata isn’t sticky, doesn’t streak or result in an orange “tan”. Rather, the color is subtle and natural. The product is also free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates.

Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Serum and Extra SPF Tinted Moisturizing Balm – I have tried many serums and the Extra Repair is my favorite. I also wear the SPF Tinted Moisturizing Balm every day rain or shine to protect my skin from sun damage.

Jan Marini Bioglycolic Face Cleanser – A deep cleansing product containing glycolic acid that acts as a resurfacing agent and naturally derived humectants that hydrate skin.

The Honest Company Organic Body Oil and Sea Salt + Sugar Body Scrub – I recently began using this body scrub and oil after my nightly shower to promote glowing skin.

JĀSÖN® Vitamin E Oil 14,000 IU and Revitalizing Vitamin E Crème 5,000 IU (latter not pictured)– This is my favorite hand and nail combo. The Crème is light and fast absorbing and the oil keeps cuticles soft. Once a week, I also apply the oil to my face at night for an intense moisturizing treatment and to help prevent free radical damage.
